Prison camps in North Korea?

For North Koreans, the struggle to survive under Kim Jong-il’s dictatorship is an ongoing fight. While details regarding North Korea’s food shortage and nuclear power have been publicized widely, the existence of prison camps remains an unmentionable topic. For decades, tens of thousands of political prisoners have vanished into these hidden camps. One of the most disturbing facts is that up to three generations of families are exiled for a lifetime sentence, or even killed, without any judicial process.

The existence of these camps is denied by North Korea.
